Lin at Lunch: Bristol Lounge | BeantownEats {We Eat It. You Read It ...

There is an elegance that precedes its name.? There is a mouth-watering excitement that precedes its burger.? With Jon working just blocks away from me now, it?s very easy for us to meet up for a quick lunch. Even with so many choices in the area, one of our first stops together was The Bristol Lounge in the Four Seasons.

Their lunch menu consists of the typical appetizers, salads, sandwiches and main courses. Their beverage menu also consists of non-alcoholic drinks that deviate from standard soda.? I love seeing this concept on a lunch menu and we took full advantage, ordering a cucumber seltzer and raspberry lemonade. After some talk on twitter, we were sent out an order of their Avocado Fries courtesy of The Bristol Lounge. We had tried something similar at Local 149, and were pleased that these were equally delicious! The avocado keeps this appetizer on the lighter side and the cilantro dipping sauce really brings an added flavor that makes these little bites a must-try.

After the appetizer, I wanted to make sure I ordered something light so I wouldn?t need a nap before returning to work.? That being said, this sandwich was so large that I was only able to finish half of it! I liked the idea of pancetta replacing traditional bacon, and I really liked that they went with a turkey BLT, rather than a sometimes overwhelming and difficult-to-eat turkey club with the extra sandwich layer.? As you can see, there was a generous amount of turkey. Tarragon mayo is served on the sandwich (beware mayo haters!) and provides a very nice compliment to the sandwich.

Jon didn?t even have to look at the menu to know he was ordering the burger. He is a ?purist? and asked for no cheese, and enjoyed every single bite.? This is a simple burger, with simple ingredients, executed with a perfection that is deserving of this burger?s accolades.

I had meant to keep the recipe to list the prices on these dishes since they are missing from the online menu.? Being an upscale restaurant in a Four Seasons hotel, I expected a high price point, and I was correct.? But our food was very good, and it was a very nice lunch treat for both of us.

The Bristol Lounge is located in the Four Seasons at 200 Boylston St, a 5-minutes walk from both Arlington and Boylston green line stations.?

Where do you like to treat yourself for lunch?
